Your first successful introduction is free
Each teacher or organisation has one free introduction across its profiles, skills and accounts. It is used only when a learner accepts an offer and contact details are shared. A sent enquiry, declined offer or expired request does not use it.
Later successful introductions: £9.99
The current fee is £9.99 per completed introduction. After the learner accepts your exact offer, you have up to 24 hours to pay, ending earlier if the confirmed offer hold ends. Your payment page and email show the exact deadline. Contact details are shared only when the introduction is completed. There is no subscription, recurring commission or charge on lesson payments.
Claiming and keeping a profile
Claiming is free. Before receiving a later chargeable enquiry, the teacher must claim their profile and accept the current introduction terms. Reviews and the right to reply are separate from payment.
Lesson prices are separate
The teacher confirms the lesson rate and any compulsory costs in the offer. The learner pays the teacher directly. MyTeacherFinder does not collect or hold lesson payments.
When an introduction does not complete
A failed or expired payment does not create a completed introduction. An invalid, duplicate or wrongly completed charge is reviewed for correction or refund. A valid paid introduction followed by learner withdrawal before lessons begin may qualify for one staff-approved replacement credit.
Replacement credit
Report the withdrawal no later than 14 days after the agreed first lesson date. An approved credit has no expiry and can replace one later introduction fee. It has no cash value and is separate from refund rights for an invalid or duplicate charge.
