Build on school French
St John's C.E. Primary School in Salford teaches French weekly across Key Stage 2, emphasising speaking and listening first and building reading and writing later. For a pupil there, share the current class topic with a tutor and ask for help with the specific skill that needs practice. This is the school curriculum for enrolled pupils, not a public lesson offer.
Conversation practice for returning learners
Salford u3a lists Conversation and Intermediate French groups at Walkden Gateway. The intermediate group is mostly around A2 and combines speaking, listening and reading, but it has no teacher and is not suitable for absolute beginners. Treat it as peer practice, and check the current calendar before attending.
