Guitar teachers in Birmingham
Compare classical and electric guitar lessons for adults and children with Birmingham’s separate grade-based ensemble route for eligible young players.
Classical or electric guitar lessons for all ages
Services For Education Music School lists classical and electric guitar lessons. Its FAQ says Music School lessons are for children and adults aged 5 and upwards across abilities; the current lesson page lists in-person, online and flexi formats. The listed centres are Bournville School and Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School in Sutton Coldfield. Tell the school which guitar you want to learn and your current level, then check the current rate, format, centre and schedule directly.
A separate ensemble route for eligible young players
Services For Education’s Central Ensembles list guitar groups at Grades 2 to 4, 4 to 6 and 6 to 8 or above. Entry is free but auditioned and limited to young people in full-time education who attend a Birmingham school or live in Birmingham. The ensembles extend regular instrumental lessons and expect consistent rehearsal attendance, so they are a progression route for eligible young players rather than a substitute for guitar tuition.
