School maths can focus on a current topic or exam
Ed’s York Maths Tutoring covers KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-level, with the tutor travelling to pupils’ homes in York. Its stated approach is to begin from what the pupil already understands and build confidence before moving forward. Share a recent question or exam topic so a prospective tutor can focus the lesson on a real gap.
Adults can compare Functional Skills and GCSE routes
York Learning lists adult maths at Entry 2 and 3 Functional Skills, Levels 1 and 2, and GCSE. Classes may be face to face or online, during the day or in the evening; some Functional Skills courses combine a weekly tutor session with independent study. Book an assessment to discuss your starting level and whether a qualification is the right aim.
