Piano lessons in Belfast
Explore a local one-to-one piano route, piano in group bands and the separate EA Music school offer for eligible pupils.
One-to-one piano and group music in East Belfast
Strandtown Music Academy lists 30-minute one-to-one piano lessons in East Belfast for children aged 7+ and adults. It welcomes beginners through advanced players, teaches pop/rock, classical and jazz, and offers graded exams up to Grade 8 for learners who want them. Its piano page gives a Belmont Road location. For a group option, the Academy lists piano among the instruments in its Rockband classes at The Music Mill on Beersbridge Road. Children aged 12 to 17 can choose an open-level band or a separate Grade 3+ group; the adult band is intermediate, roughly Grade 3+. These are band sessions, not group piano lessons. The Academy invites trial lesson and information requests. Ask directly about the right format and any current opening.
A separate school music route
EA Music lists piano at its Belfast centre. Its New Start route is arranged through schools: each school identifies the eligible year groups, places are limited and allocated in expression-of-interest order. EA Music tutors decide instrument-family allocation using their judgement and available stock, so a piano place is not assured. Ask the pupil’s school whether piano is included in its current offer before making plans.
