Spanish lessons in Cambridge

Compare Cambridge Spanish Centre adult and school-age classes with the University’s public Spanish programme.

Adult Spanish classes with published levels

Cambridge Spanish Centre’s adult page describes collective courses from A1 to C1. The current listings show complete beginner A1, elementary A1/A2 for learners with beginner or GCSE-level Spanish, and B1/B2. Classes meet weekly for 90 minutes online by Zoom, with one in-person Cambridge session each month at Alliance Française Cambridge. The listed winter classes run on Tuesdays from 6.30pm to 8pm, 17 November 2026 to 2 February 2027. The page describes grammar and communication practice for real-life situations; check current fees and places before planning around the dates.

A separate route for school-age learners

The Centre’s under-18 page groups learners from Reception through Year 11, with weekly classes on site in Cambridge and sessions of one or 1.5 hours depending on the class. It lists GCSE preparation for Year 10 and 11 pupils taking the 2027 exam, using themes, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension and Spanish cultural topics. Ask which year-group class suits the learner’s current Spanish; the page does not give a CEFR level for these groups or confirm current places.

Check what the University course includes

Cambridge University Language Programmes (CULP) also lists Spanish for current University students and staff and the general public, online or in person. Its catalogue does not show a Spanish level or timetable, so check the exact course through the University Training Booking System. The catalogue says to wait for a confirmed booking before paying, and that the student fee rate is only for University of Cambridge students.
